ABOUT ASHLEY

Ashley is a Philadelphia based digital producer and strategic communications executive with a passion for being immersed in the magic of existing on a big floating rock in space.

When she isn’t solving political infrastructure needs, studying global media narrative and data privacy movements, or leading progressive organizing projects, she works as a photographer and creative director with over 10 years of experience in managing production and editing.

Chicago born and Iowa raised, she moved to Washington DC after cutting her teeth in campaigns and currently resides in the Philadelphia area. In pandemic times, she has been traveling across North America to document eroding landscapes and just returned from a month in South America.

In 2022, she discovered what is likely a metatarsal bone of a tyrannosaurus while eating a clementine in Alberta and is now deeply invested in receiving updates from the paleontologist team now studying this find. Her other fun fact she typically reserves for icebreaker activities is that she once gave Sunny & Bo Obama piggy back rides (and knows their treat of choice).

You can probably find her tucked in a corner reading (novels or 10 tabs of research), clocking miles on her road bike, throwing an elaborate dinner party, hunting down antiques, or creating in her studio if and when she is not on the road. She greatly misses concerts, eating her heart out at restaurant openings, and spontaneously planned international backpacking trips.
